Canta is a mixed-age, parent and child program for children ages 0-5 that teaches Spanish through music and movement. Music effortlessly awakens children’s eagerness to use language, and helps with memory retention, syllable recognition, and pronunciation. The first few years of a child’s life are a crucial time for both language acquisition and musical development, and Canta offers children the opportunity to explore both!
In Arte, children engage in hands on art activities that provide a context for learning Spanish. This parent and child class for younger children (2-4yrs) explores various materials, textures, and art techniques. We focus on giving children exposure to Spanish, and giving parents the language tools necessary to carry out simple art projects at home in Spanish.
ARTE para Grandes (Pilot)
Arte para Grandes is an opportunity for older children (5-8yrs) to be in an activity oriented immersion environment learning and practicing Spanish through art. In this class, we explore a variety of ethnic art from around the world. We'll be interweaving geography, culture, storytelling and play into our classes to make them contextually rich and engaging.
We also share our space with other local teachers. Check out their class offerings below!
